Cello with Jorge M.

Hello! I'm Jorge, an international freelance cellist and music coach. My specialty is chamber performance, and I am currently a member of Lincoln Center Stage for Holland America Cruise, and a former member of the Astraeus Quartet. I love the intimate setting that chamber musician provides to share our music. I received my BM and MM from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and have been teaching the art of cello for 8 years now. My passion to teach stems from my wonders of learning about the body and mind connection through music. The teaching methods I provide are always modified for the individual's body, and I encourage self exploration of the body's range to achieve your musical goals. I aim to teach one self to love the now, and overcome technical difficulties by acknowledging your limits and finding solutions. Everyone learns music for a different reason, and I aspire to guide you in your journey. For young learners, my fundamental purposes is to teach 'how to learn, by observing the present' and guide them with their reasoning process for better practice. I currently am traveling around, but am flexible to accepting new incoming students! Please do not hesitate to reach out for any questions.
