Jordana has extensive experience and training in multiple genres, including classical, bluegrass, old-time, free and structured improvisation, songwriting, arranging, and more. Her teaching philosophy is that each student is an individual, and should be challenged and encouraged accordingly. She strives to find and nurture the unique musical voice in each of her students.

About Jordana G.

Jordana Greenberg is an internationally performing violinist, singer and writer, celebrated both for her work as founder of chamberfolk trio Harpeth Rising, and for her solo and chamber music performances. Greenberg has performed on five continents, and regularly performs with the Price Hill Duo and serves as concertmaster of Queen City Opera in Cincinnati. A passionate advocate for access to education, Jordana is the founder of Let Music Speak, a nonprofit organization that produces free music and arts events in the Midwest, including PaoliFest, a two-day music and art festival in Southern Indiana.

In 2019 Greenberg completed a headlining tour of Southeast Asia as a Cultural Ambassador for the United States, giving performances, masterclasses and workshops to students from Elementary school through University. Previous teaching positions include Adjunct Faculty at Western Kentucky University, where Greenberg created the class “Alternative Styles for Strings”, focusing on violin and fiddle techniques from the Blues to Newgrass. Greenberg is an alumna of both Indiana University and New England Conservatory, where she studied with Miriam Fried. She studied with Mimi Zweig throughout her pre-college education, and was a member of the touring ensemble The Indiana University Violin Virtuosi. Greenberg has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Japan, Cambodia, Singapore, France, Italy, Portugal, Germany, The Netherlands, England, Wales, Scotland, Australia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Canada and the United States.

I am so excited to take lessons with Jordana! She is incredibly helpful and patient and has really helped me with my setup and playing. She's taught me so much about styles other than classical (she taught me how to chop and how to read a chart), classical technique, and performing. I highly recommend lessons with Jordana!
