Hi there, First let me thank you for taking the time to read through my site. The first thing you should know about me, is that I LOVE what I do. I love teaching my students how to become excellent at the piano, whether they are just starting out or picking up the instrument once again. As a music therapist I have learned the power of music to help shape and transform our lives... it sounds corny and cliche... but I mean it! Whether it's recreating a classic Chopin piece, or learning that Rihanna song on the radio, or putting to life what only you heard in your head with an original tune... I want to be apart of helping you meet your music goals. Why should you let me teach you? Well... I'll tell you... I myself have been playing the piano since I was 2.5 years old. I am familiar with classical styles of training, as well as contemporary music and some jazz styles as well. But most importantly as a music therapist, I have the ability to teach you in creative ways. We can work through lesson books, if that's what you like (trust me I love those too), or we can come up with our own lessons based on your styles and interest. The other reason you should hire me, is that I'm not just passionate, but I'm competent. I'm good at what I do. I have experience teaching children as young as 4 years old up through high school aged. I also have experience with adults, so I believe that I can adapt any lesson to any age and learning style. I have been teaching the piano on and off since 2005. I have a strong work ethic. I take your time seriously and I honor the fact that you are paying for a service. I therefore will do my best to pack as much as I can into your lesson time, and respect that you could choose from a long list of people to teach you how to play the piano... and you chose me!
