After playing piano for 30 years and teaching for over a decade, I have expert-level knowledge of what methods work-- and what doesn't!! My goal is to help each of my students learn what excites them, and also what will help them attain their goals for the piano.  My job as your teacher is to help identify and remove any obstacles  in the way of your progress toward those goals. Whether it’s in your head, or a simple fix with your technique, each week during your piano lesson, we’ll work together to improve your musicianship.

The Suzuki Method is an internationally-acclaimed music curriculum created by Japanese violinist Dr. Sinichi Suzuki. His teachings are based on the notion that we should learn music in the same way we learn a language; just as children learn to speak before they learn to read.  The Suzuki Method lays a foundation of ear training, rhythm and recognization prior to teaching students to read musical notation.
