Violin with Jordan P.

I am a classically trained violinist with a Bachelor of Music Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University. I am a professional violinist, vocalist, and arranger. I perform in a variety of styles including Jazz, Hip-hop, and pop. I tour with Thee Phantom and The Ill-Harmonic Orchestra and have arranged pieces for this group that have been performed at the Tobin Performing Arts Center in San Antonio Texas and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. I perform locally as a violinist and vocalist as well, and I have managed several local bands. As a teacher, I want my students to build confidence and have a fantastic time while working hard and making great strides. I work with every student to work with their individual goals and availability so that they can see success and growth in their technique and musicianship. I have a heavy emphasis on technique and my students can expect to receive regular exercises to expand their technical proficiency. Additionally, I believe it is very important for every student to love what they are playing so I work with students on picking pieces, arranging music, and even composing their own works, so that they have a full experience. I believe that great technique fosters confidence and excitement. Even though I am very interested and excited in having a wide variety of musical genres explored, I believe that creating a strong foundation is the key to success.
