I am 30 years old, and I have been a musician for over 20 years. I started playing the drums when I was 12 and I have loved playing ever since. The drums are so expressive and so energetic. I have played drums in primarily live contemporary christian worship music for about 15 years, and I love coaching people in that arena. I have been a worship pastor for the last 6 years. I love working with all of my musicians, but especially the drummers. Coaching and creating the right rhythm to match the song and blend with the other musicians is really fun and such a creative process. If you are someone who is looking to develop your ability to play with a live band, then I might be the instructor for you. Especially if you're interested in the contemporary christian worship music genre. Learning how to play within a band, learning how to add tasteful elements spontaneously, and learning how to play in a way that complements what the other instruments are doing are all things that take time outside of just learning the mechanics of playing a drum set.
