Saxophone

Levels Taught:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
I have been teaching saxophone professionally for 7 years to beginners just starting out, students preparing for college auditions, and adults trying to get back into playing. I am a very passionate musician and person, and find happiness in helping people get better at the saxophone and playing music! I enjoy performing regularly in the Los Angeles and greater Los Angeles areas at venues such as The Hollywood Bowl, and The Blue Whale Jazz Club. If you are looking to make your first sounds on the instrument, or looking to develop the skills to be a masterful performer and improviser, please reach out to me as I would find great joy in helping you accomplish your goals.

On top of being a professional musician and educator, I am a fun, easy-going, and inspirational person. I come from a family of 6 and used to work as a camp counselor in the summers, so working with kids is my strong suit, I really do enjoy it! I have found in my years of teaching a nice balance of making sure my students stay focused while also making sure they are having a pleasant experience during their lessons.

Here is a little bit more about me taken from jordanleicht.com:

Jordan is a very kind, articulate and knowledgable teacher, and has been giving my son saxophone lessons for 3 years. My son wants to audition for the jazz program at a few schools, and absolutely looks forward to his weekly lessons with Jordan. They have a lot of fun together in their lessons, and my son is feeling more confident about his audition with each week that passes. I definitely recommend Jordan as a teacher to any level of student looking to learn the saxophone!

Jordan has been giving my daughter sax lessons for about a year now and she has improved tremendously! Jordan is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about music theory which is what my daughter needed the most help with. She looks forward to the weekly lessons! And he has given her the motivation to practice👍
