He has received prizes in numerous competitions, including the 2013 Astral Artists National Auditions, 2011 Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition, 2010 Indiana International Guitar Competition, and 2008 American String Teachers Association Competition. I aim to help develop a student's musical ability via flexible music lessons. I tailor lessons to the student's strengths and weaknesses as well as personality, since the "cookie cutter" approach tends dull the student's enjoyment. Learning music should be an easy-going process, although dedicated practice is essential. And even though the guitar has its physical obstacles, I try to develop habits of easing unnecessary tension. *** Travel Equipment *** Guitar *** Specialties *** For the beginning student, lessons are focused on technique and fundamentals such as reading music, rhythm, etc. I use a variety of method books to work out of depending on what may best suit the individual student. For intermediate-advanced students, lessons can be geared towards more specific styles such as classical, jazz, rock,

Fun and worthwhile experience I had never played guitar before and Jordan was very encouraging. He took his time with teaching me new things and always gave me productive feedback to work on. He is super talented and was able to teach me any song that I threw his way (I constantly wanted to learn pop punk music). I was very sad when he was moving to NY and am still looking for a teacher to replace him. He is highly recommended.

Jordan is the best! I decided to try a new hobby, playing guitar, and Jordan became my teacher. I was not very good, but Jordan was very positive and patient, which made me feel less hard on myself. You can also tell he has a strong passion and enthusiasm for music, which made me want to return for more lessons - because it was fun! I hope anyone who is looking for a great learning experience chooses Jordan as his or her teacher.

Well surpassed my expectations! I have been taking lessons for less than a month, and I have found that because of my teacher's skill and guidance with building solid fundamentals with me, I have seen more progress than I would have ever expected in such a short amount of time. This teacher is creative, intuitive, patient, and very encouraging, which makes the lessons and learning process both challenging and fun. He doesn't "cookie cutter" his lessons, rather, he tailors it to my needs and abilities. I have complete confidence that all my musical playing goals will be met - and them some - because of my teacher. So far, my expectations have been well surpassed, and I would highly recommend this teacher!
