Levels Taught: Beginner, Intermediate, advanced Styles: Opera, Classical, Musical Theater, Cabaret, Jazz, Pop I strive to help students find their most natural voice. Learning how to sing is hard but singing shouldn't be hard. After our first lesson I hope to set you up with tools and skills that will make singing easier and freer. By focusing on breathing, releasing tension, and natural sounds we will find your true voice! These techniques can be used in ANY genre -- I focus predominately on classical voice and opera but am happy to explore any music that moves you. During our voice lessons I also can teach piano basics. I've been studying piano for the past 18 years. As a singer it is important to be able to learn music on your own and basic piano knowledge as well as the ability to accompany yourself is extremely important! Additionally, I can help with audition preparation, sight singing, languages, diction (French, English, German, Polish, Czech, Russian, and Italian), rhythmic training, ear training, and more! -- More About Me -- I am a professional baritone and lover of song, opera, and contemporary music. I graduated from the Vocal Arts Program at the Bard College Conservatory of Music led by soprano Dawn Upshaw, receiving a Masters of Music and received a Bachelors of Music from The New England Conservatory of Music. I've performed with many regional orchestras such as the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, Bard College Conservatory Symphony, Albany Symphony, and the Broad Street Orchestra in Kinderhook NY.
