I am a professional photographer specializing in portrait, commercial, food, and wedding photography. I graduated from UCLA and work professionally in Los Angeles. Students can expect to improve week to week in their photography skills. Every photographer has a unique vision; I teach students the technical and real-world approaches to bring that vision to life. I can help any student to photograph with confidence and success. I teach photography students of all different ages and experience levels. I have 20 years of professional experience. I can teach students to select the right camera settings for any situation and compose their photos for the highest visual interest. I've photographed events with Michelle Obama and Nancy Reagan. I've worked with brands such as Beyond Meat and Whole Foods for their food photography. I've photographed alongside firefighters battling wildfires in Southern California. I love to mentor students who want to become effective, creative photographers. My personal passion is photographing people, but I firmly believe that a great foundation is essential to any and every photographic field. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better photographer!

I am learning about the basics of my dslr even though I've been using it for over a decade. Jonathan was very clear and patient, and followed my lead in terms of what to focus on based on my lack of technical know-how, and then gave lots of helpful explanation and pointers. I look forward to more sessions with him!
Jonathan is a fantastic photographer and knows Photoshop VERY well. He gave me a great intro and I'll look forward to booking him again for a follow up session.
Jonathan was very knowledgeable and also answered specifics for what I need to learn for an upcoming photography challenge. He supplied me with reading material as well as dealt with specifics to my camera.
