Jonathan has been teaching private lessons since 2013 and is currently available to teach lessons at your home and at his home studio. Jonathan has taught students in the areas of drum set, as well as orchestral and commercial percussion. His main focus is better his students' understanding in the instrument, improve their skill level, and make music enjoyable for the student.
Jonathan is a recent graduate of Azusa Pacific University where he got his degree in Percussion Performance. Jonathan has had the opportunity to be involved in the Idyllwild Summer Arts program, Claremont’s Young Musicians Orchestra, All-Southern Jazz Ensembles and Orchestra, performing at such venues as The Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, The Hollywood Bowl, and The Motzartium in (Austria). Jonathan has also been involved with several symphony orchestras in the LA area. Working as a freelance musician in Los Angeles, Jonathan has experience with both classical music and commercial music, playing in orchestras, musical pits, jazz ensembles, and pop groups. As an expert in his field, Jonathan looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals in a friendly and helpful environment.

I have had the opportunity to play as an extra with the OCSA Orchestra as a percussionist performing such works including Carmina Burana.
I have had the opportunity to play as an extra in the Marina Del Ray Symphony over the past year or two playing both drum set and percussion.
