Tuba Performance

    About Jonathan S.

I am a tubist, pianist, composer, arranger, cellist, and recording artist, but my passion is tuba (well, really all low brass, but tuba the most). I have studied with some great teachers, including Dr. Gail Robertson, and hold a degree in Tuba Performance from the University of Florida. I teach all levels and ages, middle school and up, in tuba, euphonium, trombone, and piano. For lessons I like to focus on technique, theory, musicality, and performance to provide the student the best education possible. At the heart of teaching though is a love and appreciation of music and the instrument in the student, which I aim to foster as best I can. I am versed in many genres of low brass music, and my favorite is Wind Ensemble pieces
