I've been playing professionally for many years, in theater pits and rock bands. Whether you want to shred like Kirk Hammett, start working up the rungs towards a Broadway pit, recreate the latest sounds coming out of Bushwick, or develop your own unique voice, I'll help you get there - without spending a zillion dollars on pedals and amps! The most important element of any guitar rig is you.

I got a lot out of my first lesson. Jon was able to identify a good starting point and move me along at a very good pace. Very friendly and patient, also thorough explanations and techniques. Well done!!

I've really enjoyed working with Jonathan. He's been very supportive, patient, and helpful in improving my technique, basic skills, and understanding of music in general. Would certainly recommend piano lessons with him!

Jon is fabulous! He is able to provide a mix of classical, contemporary music styles to build on and develop a broad base of musical interest my son has. He is able to tailor his teaching tools to fit in with my son's interests. This is no mean feat, especially when my son is only 8 years of age.

Thanks so much Jon!

Jonathan is a colleague of mine from graduate school at the Boston Conservatory. He is an amazing composer and musician, and has really great insight to offer on the compositional process. He caters his lessons to meet the individual needs of his students, and will offer clever, creative, and fun ways to think about how we engage with music.

Jonathan is an extremely talented, intelligent and patient person who would be an ideal teacher. He is very successful as a musical theater directer, musical collaborator and composer. I highly recommend him as a teacher. He is kind and sensitive and would provide a wonderful teaching environment for any student.
