Acting with Jonathan H.

Hi there! My name is Jon. I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, with a BFA in Theatre Performance, Acting. My passion for theatre has taken me all around the world to learn more: I've studied Shakespeare in London, Epic scene study and the avant-garde in Berlin, and Clown in Brooklyn. In addition to partaking in in an intensive conservatory styled curriculum at school, I have been lucky enough to collaborate with many theatre artists in the rehearsal room. I do not think of myself as a mainly an actor, but rather, as a theatre artist. I have directing experience and training, and am obsessed with theoretical approaches to acting. My plan is to help demystify the process of acting. Anyone can act. By returning to rigorous textual analysis and the answering of key questions, I believe that you will have the confidence necessary to make strong, informed choices in any setting, whether it is for an upcoming audition, classwork, or in a rehearsal process.
