I am a professional guitarist, pianist and music teacher with 10 year experience. I graduated from Southwestern AG University with a Bachelor's degree in Music performance specializing in classical guitar. Guitar students can expect to learn and progress quickly while taking lessons from me. Not only is guitar my first love, but I have been teaching it for 10 years and have learned from experience the most effective thing to teach students. Beginners, Immediate to advanced students are all welcome! Any genre: Rock, Blues, Country, Bluegrass, Classical, pop, and so on! I teach piano students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied classical piano in college and play other genres as well (blues, gospel, church music). I can teach students to read music and learn how to play with chord charts as well. I have experience recording and writing music as well. I play with several bands and gig regularly. I also have several recordings and am now working on an album.

My 9yr old son Paxton has been taking in-house piano lessons from Jonathan for over a year. Pax has developed a passion for learning how to play the piano, read & even create music after taking Jonathan's classes. Pax and I are so very grateful for Jonathan. He is the best piano teacher and role model for my son. Pax looks so forward to his visit with him each week. Jonathan is a knowledgeable, energetic and a fun teacher who imparts good techniques and at the same time instills a lifelong appreciation of music. I am beyond blessed to have Jonathan as an instructor for both solo and ensemble performances. He understands music and knows what to listen for and give feedback in ways that are very encouraging! His patience with me as a beginning student definitely helped boost my confidence as a musician while helping me advance my skills as a pianist. He is an incredibly gifted musician and his knowledge of various music genres is so much fun! I look forward to learning more from him trust that he is capable of taking me as far as I dream to go. Jonathan worked with my limited availability and went out of his way to meet me in my home. He is very knowledgeable and explains things in a way you can easily understand! His dedication and passion for his gift inspires you to see music in a completely different way.
