About Jonathan C.
Hi there I'm glad you are on my page, My name is Jon nice to meet you. Here are a couple things about me.
If you are here for Academic Tutoring,
I graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a Minor in Chemistry from San Jose State University with Cum Laude honors. I worked for 3 years as a contracted tutor contracted with multiple companies and specialize in Math and Science. I have taken SAT tutoring courses for math and am qualified to tutor SAT math. My main strength is that I don't use traditional methods to teach, I focus on fostering an interest and relating relevant and applicable examples to help understand a problem rather then just teaching them how to repeat steps. Through my methods I have found great success and have even helped influence some kids to pursue a path in Math and Science. My main motto is every one in this world has the same potential to learn, they just learn in different ways. There is no student out there that I can't tutor.
And If you are here for Physical Coaching,
I am a nationally ranked gymnast and competed during my high school years and eventually retiring to pursue my educational goals. I also am a student of David Williams (international judo champion) and do Judo at San Jose State University. I enjoy parkour, free running, MMA, and many other physical challenging activities. I am thankfully able to adapt to multiple sports easily due to my extensive gymnastics background. I have experience coaching boys gymnastics for 3 years, during that time I also coached a parkour and flipping class. I also spent the summer as an action sports councilor at Woodward Tahoe. I have a philosophy about coaching, as long as I can do it I can teach you how to do it. I will never teach a student any skills that I cannot preform my self. If you want to progress your self physical then your at the right page. My goal when coaching is to not only teach a certain skill but help an individual learn more about what he is capable of and where his limits lie. I also believe in actually doing with the student what I'm teaching rather then sitting back and vocalizing. Whether you want to learn the technique of a Tiatoshi, do a standing backflip, or even just want to get stronger I am more then happy to help you reach your goals.
