I am a professional oboist and teacher with experience as a chamber musician, orchestral player, pit musician, and soloist. I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in Oboe Performance from The Hartt School of Music, and I am a current master's student at Columbia University's Teachers College.
As a teacher, I love helping students succeed! I have experiencing preparing students for auditions, and I particularly enjoy helping beginners of all ages master the fundamentals of the oboe and make beautiful music while having fun.
As a professional musician, I always enjoy opportunities to play different music and travel. As an orchestral musician, I've performed at the Musikverein (Vienna, Austria), Rutgers University, the US Coast Guard Academy, Queens College, the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts (Urbana, IL), Schönbrunn Palace (Vienna, Austria), and Carnegie Hall. This past May, I made my solo debut performing the Marcello Oboe Concerto in C Minor with the Hartt Collegium Musicum. I also particularly enjoy musicals, and have performed in pit orchestras in high schools, colleges, and local theatre companies across the Tri-State area, having recently played such shows as "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," "Smile," "Once Upon a Mattress," and "The Secret Garden," as well as several operas and oratorios, including Verdi's "Nabucco," Mozart's "Magic Flute," Handel's "Messiah," and Leoncavallo's "Pagliacci."
I look forward to working with you and helping you discover the oboe!
