Overview

Jonas began his music studies on classical guitar at the age of 11 and first picked up a renaissance lute in Salzburg at age 19. He says, "It was the magic of plucking and strumming that got me hooked!"

He's been teaching guitar and giving masterclasses worldwide for over 5 years already, including Germany, Austria, Spain, South Korea and recently, USA.

He is a committed and passionate teacher of both guitar and lute. He has been teaching for the past five years. His studio includes students of all ages, abilities, and musical interests. Jonas believes in promoting and nurturing a passion of music in his students while challenging and inspiring them to find a place for music in their lives. All students have different goals, interests, and learning styles and Jonas strives to find a teaching approach which is tailored to each individual student.

As a weekly student for the past two years, I have seen a dramatic improvement in both my playing and technique. Jonas has a knack for personalizing each lesson to the specific student's skill level, while keeping it both fun and challenging. If you are a beginner or an accomplished guitarist, your guitar skills will undoubtably improve with Jonas personalized touch and commitment to helping you achieve your guitar goals.

Awesome guitar teacher! I've been taking lessons for over 3 years now, and my only regret is not starting earlier. Jonas can teach pretty much any song you bring in that you want to play, and makes the lessons fun. Great for ANY skill level! If you live in Boston or surrounding areas and want to learn guitar, this is the best place to do it!

Jonas is talented and professional. I wish the doctors, lawyers, bankers, etc. I work with were as timely and organized and friendly! I learn new guitar skills very rapidly (as long as I practice.) Its obvious that he loves what he does and that he cares about doing it well.

If you are looking for a superior guitar instructor, go no further - Jonas Kublickas is that person! Our son has been taking lessons from Jonas for a little over two years. Even though our son is dyslexic and learns differently, Jonas understood the situation, connected with him, and has turned him into the second best guitarist in Salzburg :) Jonas will always have our thanks, and we are proud to recommend him to anyone who is considering taking guitar lessons.

My son has been taking lessons with Jonas for about a year now and we love it. We are very pleased with Jonas and his teaching style. As an educator myself, I feel he especially does an excellent job when working with children.

Jonas is extremely patient and attentive to beginners. He understands the learning process and has an excellent attitude to obviously difficult challenges that we all as beginners face. He is professional, courteous, kind and insightful, not to mention a great bargain. I highly recommend Jonas. He is the best!

Jonas is definitely one of the most creative friends and colleagues I have! He is always looking forward to experimenting, learning and most important, sharing with others what he knows. We were stage mates for a while in Austria during our Mozarteum years and I learned a lot from him. Surely recommended as a teacher!

Jonas is a pioneer of the Classical Guitar, the lute, and of Baroque music back in his home country of Lithuania. He continuously pushes the boundaries of the instrument artistically by creating music through unorthodox musical combinations. He is also trilingual and fluently speaks English, German, and his native language of Lithuanian. His studies have brought him from Austria to Boston, meaning that whatever question you may have, he'll have a diverse knowledge pool to draw from!
