Piano with Jon S.

I am a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, and protege of trumpet legend Roy Eldridge. I play and teach piano, trumpet, trombone, vocals, and teach sight-singing, sight-reading, music theory, and improvisation. I have performed all over the world with such musical notables as Ella Fitzgerald, the Drifers, the Shirelles, Joe Muranyi, and many others. I have many years experience teaching, with students of all ages, and also with deaf students (I am ASL proficient, and have a Cochlear Implant). I was taught music the old fashioned "hard and slow way," and i avoid that when i teach. Learning music shouldn't be a chore. It should be easy, fast, and fun, and i do my best to make sure that it is.
