Jonathan Stancato is the creator of Inside Voice, a multiphonic 5-octave mindbody approach to voice and song which he developed while teaching at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He teaches regular workshops exploring these extended vocal techniques, drawn from his training with Richard Armstrong (Roy Hart Voice) and Thomas Richards (Grotowski Workcenter), in NYC, London, Philadelphia, and elsewhere. He is the c0-artistic director of Stolen Chair, the non-profit theatre company he co-founded in 2002 whose work has been praised as "ingenious" by the New York Times. For the last 5 years, he has also been the artistic director and master teacher of the CUNY/CAT NYC Student Shakespeare Festival.
