I have taught students of all skill levels. Whether you are already comfortable behind the lens or this is your first time touching a camera, I can help.

If you're new to photography, I offer a comprehensive course on all of the basics. I start with the anatomy of the camera and move on to the ways you can use a camera to capture the world around you. We will discuss the exposure triangle, reciprocity, lens correction, strategies for creating powerful compositions, and much more. I can also weave in a little photographic history if you're interested.

If you're more advanced, I can teach you how to bring your photography to the next level. I will give you tutorials on using a tripod, setting up a DIY lighting studio at home, Photoshop and Lightroom basics, digital workflow, and creating a professional portfolio. Additionally, we can spend time on sequential art, visual literacy, and thinking conceptually about the work you create.

I shoot with both digital and analog photography. I also work in video, sculpture, and alternative photographic processes. I would be happy to talk with you about any of those. My work has appeared in online and in-print publications including Studio Visit Magazine, Ain't-Bad, and CreativPaper. In 2019 I had my first solo exhibition at SpacePlace Gallery in Russia. I'm also an avid reader of comic books and a lover of cats.
