    Take classical voice lessons!

I am a tenor from Olney, Maryland. I have studied with many Metropolitan Opera and international stars, including Peter Volpe, Bryan Hymel, Greer Grimsley, Luretta Bybee, and Irini Kyriakidou. I have a bachelor degree in vocal performance, and am currently enrolled at the Jacobs School of Music at IU where I am pursuing a masters degree in voice with a certificate in vocology (the science and practice of vocal habilitation and rehabilitation). I have a passion for opera, and I want to share that love with anyone who wants to know more about the "synthesis of all art"!

    About Jon Marc O.

Hi! I am an experienced singer and new teacher that is skilled in classical voice. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in voice with an advanced teaching certificate at the IU Jacobs School of Music. My goal in teaching is to assist everyone in my studio in feeling comfortable discovering and producing their most beautiful, natural sound. I prefer to teach students that are at least in high school (and those out of school, pursuing music as a hobby), but I am able and willing to teach any age group. My approach to singing is based in the bel canto technique, and I approach each student's needs differently, while working to the same goal: a comfortable, easy production of a beautiful, natural sound. I believe in a firm foundation in breath-energy connection and musicality that will help each student grow into a fully fledged singer. I try to keep a dynamic, fun environment, in which each student feels comfortable to be themselves and express themselves through song.
