Attention to detail and quality of sound is everything. When it comes to sound/noise shaping in audio engineering it’s very much like painting on an art canvas. You have to Imagine your ideal dynamic of sound. It’s easy to just press record and play with a few plugins, but when it’s all said and done do you really feel like you’ve done the most you can do for your audio mix or not enough? Let’s find out together!

About Jon D.

Hello students! My name is Jonny, I’m super excited about getting to teach you all and learn a little bit about each and every one of you. Before we get started there’s one thing I’d like you all to keep in mind for me. This is my first time teaching EVER so go easy on me ok?! Lol. All jokes aside allow me tell you guys a little bit about myself. I’m 25 years young, originally from Fremont, Indiana and I’ve been doing audio engineering for about 6 solid years now and I’d say I’ve gotten the hang of it so far! I attended Full Sail University for audio and graduated with my bachelors degree. I’m currently a free lance audio engineer and I’m also an indie music artist too. I write 100% of all my content so if you guys are ever interested in checking out some of my stuff just let me know! Anyways that’s enough about me. Let’s get to you! So as we go through these lessons of basic audio engineering and understanding a few key concepts I want to start out by familiarizing you guys with some standard info and share some of the most common fundamentals that are a good rule of thumb for you to follow when starting out as an audio engineer. It can be scary sometimes I know, but we’ll get through this together! Another thing I want you guys to keep in mind is that there is no right or wrong way to do audio engineering, it’s all about finding what works best for you, but it’s also about making sure you guys understand the importance of quality audio and how it can heavily impact your development as an audio engineer. If you’re just starting out or still learning I guarantee you these lessons will separate you from the rest and put you quite a few steps ahead of the misinformed or DIY’s out there (nothing wrong with that, that’s how I started out). So let’s begin shall we?!
