I have been teaching acoustic guitar making for over a decade, so I know guitars really well. Have been playing since age 12, but at age 65 (7 years ago in 2018) switched from standard to DADGAD tuning. Was like falling love again. DADGAD has a special sound, ideal for Celtic, Blues, and especially fingerpicking styles. For beginners its easier way to start out - you'll be playing a song gin your first lesson, rather than studying tedious scales. For advanced players its an amazing way to expend your playing and discover your guitar all over again.
