Photography with John L.

I’m the father of five two counselors ,one high school math teacher, one on his way to law school and one just entering junior college.i believe the success of my children came from my wife and I recognizing their strengths and interest and supporting them, and not letting them give up because of some minor obstacle. Photography and fine art are my passions now . I like to travel where the tourist don’t go. I like to listen to artist have conversations and read their writings. I don’t consider my my self to be a traditional citizen, but I have a lot of respect for society and it’s different cultures. I think war photographers are the bravest people on earth I’m brave but not like them. I don’t get caught up in the different equipment that comes out if what I already have will get the job done and most of the time it does. I I came from what was labeled at one time the worst city in America (Gary ,Indiana) to receiving an Honorable discharge from the US Navy to getting a BFA from the University of Laverne. I’m now pursuing my MFA from Claremont Grad school. I love to shoot skateboarders and surfers. Motion and depth of field i think I will fool around with for the next year.
