I teach clarinet to students at all levels. I like for students to play duets and to concentrate on reading music effectively. I use tuners and metronomes extensively to get train students to play in time and in tune.

My teaching style involves listening carefully to my students and then recommending music to them that I think they can play. I also like for students to take an active role in choosing their own music. I like for students to play in the lesson as much as possible. I like to play duets with them because they are fun to play, they sound good and they are effective in teaching students to sight read and play well with other musicians.
