About John B.
I began playing guitar at the age of 7 years old. During my adolescence, I studied with Larry Hoffman, who was taught by the great Dennis Sandole. During my years in the music program at Towson University, I honed my chops and eventually went on to have a successful run performing in New York City for 6 years. I am currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at Austin studying ethnomusicology and focusing on the music of the Dominican Republic.
