I'm Chance's mom. I see him really smile during and right after his lessons! Johanna has skill not only as a cellist and instructor, but also a caring teacher. She really gets the best out of him. Thank you Johanna!

I have had the pleasure of watching Johanna grow as a musician and a gifted music instructor over the past several years. Johanna is very passionate about her music. She possesses a natural talent for music and is academically accomplished. I have seen her excel at improvisation and a more methodical approach to musical performance. Her love for the cello is evident in her enthusiastic and energetic teaching techniques. She is exceedingly patient with all, encourages everyone, and coaxes the very best effort from each and every person she works with. Ideals she passes on to her current and future students.

Johanna is passionate about music and teaching music. She easily communicates her enthusiasm for music to her students not just to beginners but to more experienced musicians looking to learn an additional instrument. She has an awesome attitude all around.

Johanna Wright-Vines has been a member of the Cello section of the Hallandale Symphonic Pops Orchestra for several years and she has distinguished herself in many ways.

As a musician she is musical , alert, conscientious, always well prepared and eager to perform. She loves music and it is a pleasure to work with her.

As a person she is cooperative, resourceful and always has a ready smile and a pleasant demeanor.

I have confidence that whatever projects she undertakes in the future
she will show the same talent, dedication and thoroughness I’ve witnessed in her work in the Orchestra.

I wish her much luck and recommend her highly.

A fantastic cellist with a thirst for continually pushing her own musical knowledge and limits.

Johanna has been a great contributor to many orchestras I have conducted. She continuously seeks to further her knowledge to help make the music come to live and freely shares this knowledge with others around her. She continuously strives to find a perfect balance between technical acuity and musical phrasing/interpretation in her playing. I cannot overemphasize the benefit of her skill in this area, as it results in very technically competent musicians, who are also expressive!

She is friendly, encourages other struggling musicians. She always shows up to rehearsals/concerts early, with a smiling, can do demeanor, and a willingness to help wherever there might be a need.

She is professional and personable, she is always my first recommendation to parents and students looking for 'the right' music teacher.

I have known Johanna for a few years and experienced working with her and for her. A very good and loyal friend indeed she is.
She is very dedicated, committed to her work. Honesty and clarity in her advise are a signature.
Once goals are set for any activity or project, she relentlessly works towards them, and no respite stands in the way.
That is a trademark always I look for in a professional!
