Joey is the best kind of teacher--he challenges my son and makes it fun for him. He pushes my son outside of his comfort zone, but in a good way. My son's technique and tone have improved so much. And best of all, he's really enjoying Joey as his teacher!

Joey swiftly switch led to on-line lessons when school closed. The lessons continues and we’re greatly received and appreciated. Of course in person lessons are better, however, Joey manages to keep my son engaged and continue practice on both saxophone and piano. Highly recommend!! Joey is highly professional, very knowledgeable and able to keep great rapport with students.

Joey has been teaching piano to my 9 year old son for almost a year now. We are very happy with the relationship our son and Joey have, and with our son’s progress. My husband and I both studied music in college, and we’ve both been music teachers at various points in our careers. We know a solid teacher when we see one. Joey somehow manages to set high expectations for our son while remaining laid back and fun. He lets our son explore different types of music as our son’s interest changes. We find that flexibility refreshing and necessary to keep young kids interested. Out of all his activities, our son loves piano the most, and a lot of that has to do with the quality of teaching he receives from Joey. Speaking of flexibility, Joey has adapted his teaching seamlessly to teaching via zoom (his lessons were previously taught in our home), and even put together a lovely virtual recital for all the kids in his studio during the covid-19 social distancing situation. We heard about Joey from friends, and continue to recommend him to others.
