    About Joel M.

Learning piano, voice or trumpet with me means that you will have access to over 20 years of playing experience and over 10 years of training and teaching experience! I have a BA in music history and literature (Magna Cum Laude) from Rhode Island College. I studied music performance in all three areas. I'm also an active performer in Providence, Boston and other places. Most of all, I believe we should have a relaxed and fun time together. We learn best that way. A little bit of humor mixed in with serious study is a combination that has never failed me! *** Lesson Details *** Please see the "how it works section" for general information on payments and policies. *** Studio Equipment *** 1927 Steinway M piano. *** Travel Equipment *** Client must have the necessary space and instrument for instruction and practice. I'm available to advise on purchase and rental suggestions. *** Specialties *** All the instruments I teach are classically informed both in the literature I study and the techniques I've learned. This doesn't mean you can't apply the same to other styles. In fact, when you learn the proper technique, you can apply it to a number of styles while keeping yourself healthy and in the best shape possible!
