Guitar with Joel L.

As you might already know, my name is Joel, and I've been playing guitar for almost 15 years. Guitar is my number one passion in life, and helping others is a close second. I have a beautiful fiance, Hana, an adorable dog named Pryor, and two cats, one named Pierre and the other is Petri! We live in an RV and plan to travel the country experiencing some of the most beautiful scenery in the country! I love cars too, and own a 1997 Mazda Miata, although I don't get to bring it with me very often. My guitar is custom built, and I got a heck of a deal on it. The guy who built it payed around $1,400, and he never played it, so I scooped it up for $500 and it's been my perfect guitar ever since. I play it every single day, and it's even my favorite color! What's even cooler is that six months earlier, I had used Warmoth's design tool to preview a guitar that looks exactly like what I have. It was a blessing from God! He knew what I wanted and took care of me. I love working with all kinds of people and helping them express themselves through guitar, and I would love the opportunity to give you the tools you need to find your guitar voice and explore your inner creativity. I'm not your traditional teacher, and my lessons aren't the uninspired "take this sheet of paper and play things". Be prepared to smile and have fun! I'd like to take time to get to know you and your skill level, and tailor your lessons accordingly. We can work together on setting goals so you can see your progress and achieve what you set out to do. If you aren't quite sure what you want to achieve, we will work together to find out exactly what you want to get out of your time with me. Every friend I meet will receive a custom goals/homework sheet, and will have the ability to contact me any time with questions or concerns.
