The ukulele is fun for all ages — come learn with me!

This instrument is fun...flat out. Great for all ages, and can be used as a great springboard to guitar and other stringed instruments. I'm able to incorporate decades of music experience and knowledge into teaching the instrument and hope to help the student get the most out of it.

About Joe S.

I absolutely love teaching music! After over 25 years of teaching, performing, writing, and recording in all styles/genres, it continues to be a great adventure. It is a joy to pass this on to others...especially seeing my students that never touched the instrument going on to be very proficient players. I take teaching seriously, but definitely try to make it enjoyable for the student. I studied classical guitar in college, but was playing everything from Van Halen to Jazz to Country & Blues before that. Currently, I'd consider myself a flat out musical mutt...enjoying anything and everything. The love of guitar has also expanded to a multitude of instruments that I record, gig, & teach with.

Joe is very patient and makes my son feels relaxed during the lesson. He always leaves his lesson feeling pumped and ready to play guitar! The rate is very competitive especially for the talent and knowledge that he shares so expertly. I would highly recommend.

Joe is an excellent observer and listener. In our first lesson, was able to assess where I was at and immediately start providing constructive feedback. Looking forward to continuing!
