Skateboarding can be often viewed as a scary and dangerous activity from the outside. However, after skating for more than 10 years, I can tell you that it's the modern way of looking of the world: 

- While riding, expect to build confidence in taking risk and falling down safely.

- Enter a supportive, diverse community that encourages creativity, consistent self-improvement and individual expression.

- Make getting to school, work, or anywhere at all a more fun and enjoyable process.

Although, skate culture can feel closed off to the public, I'll walk you through setting up your first board, learning how to ride comfortably, and most importantly, learn how to fall.

For the continuing intermediate student, we will learn how to drop into ramps, carve bowls, ollie onto and off curbs, and manual. 

Advanced students can expect to learn intuitive tips to grinds, slides, flip tricks, and how to work with a filmer.

For any level, expect a lesson that teaches you not only how to have fun on a skateboard, but to see the world in a creatively playful way.

Hello! My name is Joe! I've been teaching private piano lessons since 2015 and have loved helping my students learn how to read music, develop a strong sense of rhythm, and become the best musicians they can be while having fun along the way. I'm currently a pianist going to San Diego State University and completing a degree in Music Entrepreneurship by 2019. I'm an upbeat and optimistic person and my teaching style is encouraging, growth oriented, and allows room for plenty creative expression. I look forward to helping you overcome any musical challenges along the way!
