I started playing guitar at 13 but I had to figure it out on my own and I developed a lot of bad habits and had a poor foundation so after a year of teaching myself and thinking I had made real progress I learned I had to start all over again from square one that was a horrible feeling. Luckily my new found mentor had me back up and running again but this time I had a strong foundation and I enjoyed playing guitar even more. I want my student's to skip what I went through and start learning how to play guitar correctly and professionally from day one. That's what I stress and focus on the most when teaching is laying and building a strong foundation and once that is developed the sky is the limit! What led me to guitar was I wanted to play my favorite songs not just listen to them and as time went on a small interest in playing guitar grew into a career.
