Hello! I am asStudent, teacher, and gigging musician from Chadron, Nebraska! I love music and I want to share my love and knowledge with anyone wanting to learn. My brass students can expect to learn a combination of both classical and jazz techniques.I draw my teaching from books written by a variety of experienced musicians, spanning from Clarke and Arban to Jamey Aebersold. Each lesson will be tailored to what you want to learn but will also include everything you need to know to be a great Musician. Some things we will look at are: tone production, sight reading, scales, arpeggios, improvisation, ii-V-I exercises, etudes, long tones, and range exercises. I also include plenty of chamber and solo repetoire. We will cover how theory relates to what we are doing in every lesson. We can also look at any repetoire needed for honor band and college auditions. My bass students can expect a thorough background in jazz techniques and improvisation. We'll explore how to walk a bass line to any chord changes as well as explore any rock, blues, metal, country or gospel tunes you want to learn!
