Singing with Jocelyn H.

Music has been a part of Jocelyn’s life for as long as she can remember. Starting piano lessons at age 5, she transitioned to participating in musicals at age 10 and was enrolled in private voice lessons by age 12. She has studied a variety of vocal styles with different instructors and taken many masterclasses and workshops including on Broadway in New York City, and through Berklee School of Music in Boston. Her musical career includes several musicals, solo performances, songwriting and music production, and even a successful audition for NBC’s “The Voice.” Accepted to Berklee for college, she decided to stay local and now studies vocal performance at The University of Connecticut. A largely opera based program, Jocelyn has the skills and technique to be applied to a wide variety of musical styles including opera, jazz, pop, musical theater, and more. Actively in a degree program, Jocelyn performs classical and jazz solos regularly as well as singing with her Acapella group “Drop the Bass” on and off-campus.
