I am very passionate about music and spend many hours everyday playing the piano and teaching. My love for music began at a very young age. I remember playing with the glockenspiel and toy organ as a young child. I started playing the piano by ear and then later studied formally in college and received my degree. I studied piano at Concordia College and The Westchester Conservatory of Music. I teach all styles of piano, Classical, Pop, Rock, Broadway, or Jazz. I am patient, friendly and know how to make learning music fun. I offer piano and keyboard lessons to ages 5 and up, beginners to advanced. *** Lesson Details *** I use curriculum from many different publishers and match it to my students interest. Students will learn music that inspires them. However there is also work that needs to get done. Every lesson will include piano technique, music theory, rhythm training and sight reading. We will than explore different styles of piano music and build a repertoire of songs. In June all students have the opportunity to play in a recital. *** Studio Equipment *** Music studio with upright piano. *** Specialties *** I teach all styles of music classical, rock, Broadway and jazz. I have developmentally appropriate piano curriculum for children between the ages of 4 and 5 years. Adult students can also learn the piano.
