Ages taught: 15 to 75 こんにちは。 If you are trying to start learning Japanese, you found a right tutor!! I am very happy to see many people who want to learn and improve their Japanese. Please note that my current availability is really limited. If you want to learn Japanese with me, but you don't find any time slot which is convenient to you, don't be discouraged. I can add you in the waiting list and let you know once I have open slot. Hello! My name is Jinko and I love teaching! It's a joy for me to see people's improvement and success. I was born and raised in Tochigi, Japan. I have been teaching Japanese since I moved to America in 2001. Currently, I teach Japanese at community college and home. Also, I teach at Saturday school(HOSHUKO) in Bethesda, MD, where students can learn many subjects in Japanese. At the same time, I am raising 3 children as bilingual. I earned B.A. and certified in Japan as a teacher. 11 years of experience as a public school teacher in Japan gave me a joy to see children's success and achievement. That's why I've started teaching in America too. Learning is fun! Not only children, but adults too, can have fun to learn something new. My role is to help and support them to achieve their goals. Because I use both languages, I can teach efficiently, explain details, and provide some useful tips. I am very good at finding what kind of learning style they prefer and make you feel comfortable while you learn. Also, I believe it is one of my talents to find out what each student needs to practice and study in order to improve their skills. Which means I plan my lessons based on your needs so you can learn efficiently. I am very confident that I can provide high quality lessons and make you satisfied. My experience and constant effort to improve my teaching skill is the benefit for you. Please read about my policy before you sign up with me. This is very important for both you and me. 【Cancellation, reschedule and late policy】 I respect your time very much. Thus, I expect you to respect mine too. Lesson cancellations and rescheduling must be done 24 hours in advance before the scheduled lesson. If you do not reach me within the 24 hour period, you will be charged for the lesson. Please remember that you must contact me 24 hours in advance or you will be charged for the lesson. No matter what the reason is. If you can't make your scheduled lesson for more than two weeks consecutively (for vacation, camp, and so on) I need to give your lesson time to another student. My schedule is very tight since I work with many students. Which means that I can't afford to hold a time slot with a student who can't consistently show up. If you would like to start lessons with me again, please contact me with your preferred time slot from my availability. If you will be late for your lesson, please contact me by text or email before your lesson starts. I will wait until you log in, but I can't extend your lesson time. No refund will be given for the time you missed. I need to end your lesson at the scheduled time. Please remember that you have agreed to my policy, if you signed up for lessons with me, Also, please read The 24 Hour Golden Rule by takelessons.com... http://support.takelessons.com/hc/en-us/articles/202972993-What-is-the-24-Hour-Golden-Rule-

This is our second review for Jinko, our last one was over a year ago. We wanted to do another one as we felt it would reflect the consistent high standard of teaching and commitment Jinko offers. Our child is still having lessons and continues to learn, thrive and enjoy the experience.
I have worked with Jinko-Sensei for over 5 years now and have experienced outstanding results! Whether you're only just starting to learn the language or are well versed but looking to improve, I could not recommend a better teacher.
I've had lessons with Jinko先生 for almost 2 years now, and it has been a huge part in not only learning so much Japanese, but also kept my motivation for times when I second guessed learning the very hard language which is Japanese. She will always motivate and keep you on track, while giving tips and methods for improving one's Japanese skills in all areas, whether it be reading, listening, or speaking. Cannot recommend highly enough!
