Video Production with Jingnan A.

I have experience teaching film to youth and adults: once in high school as the co-teacher of a 10th-grade video class, and again as the instructor of a camp for kids ages six to fourteen. All of my experience teaching films is based on my own experience as a self-taught filmmaker, someone who learned how to operate a camera and edit videos through HANDS-ON PRACTICE and PROJECT-BASED LEARNING. I am dedicated to teaching film through experience rather than through a boring lecture! Part of learning the craft of filmmaking is the thoughtful consumption of film. I offer my extensive knowledge on video-essays covering film-related topics, as well as my ability to analyze a film. In addition to teaching filmmaking through practicing making content, the craft of film must be learned through practicing watching film! I promise that we will have a fun time, no matter the kinds of movies you enjoy watching or the kinds of content you want to start making. I am very flexible and excited to get to know you on a personal level. I look forward to working with you!
