Guitar with Jimmy N.

I am a professional musician and teacher. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelors in Music Performance with an emphasis in classical guitar. I have been formally studying classical music since the age of 14. In college while pursuing my degree, I studied composers under the likes of Villa Lobos, Antonio Lauro, and Leo Brouwer. I also studied jazz guitar with influences such as Julian Lage and Pat Metheny, with an underlying perspective because of my classical background. As a musician, I performed both solo and with many ensembles. Eventually my music career would take me into arranging, loop music, and songwriting. With me you can expect to learn musical skills that are applicable to all types of genres. My approach to learning is very fun and versatile. I'm very fortunate to have studied music at a young age, and through the variety of genres I was able to shape my own unique form of expression. I hope to share my passion with you and help you to create your own music as well!
