    About Jim S.

Hello New Student! I've been playing guitar since I was a teenager and teaching since college days. That's s long time. For sure, I can teach you the basic tools you need to play guitar, especially acoustic, singer-writer style songs all the way back to the classics of James Taylor, Carole King and Joni Mitchell. Here's a little more about me. I graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Music Education and spent four summers at Interlochen National Music Camp from 1970-73. I toured the Midwest and Canada in the late seventies with "Daystar", singing and playing rhythm guitar. More recently I've done a folk and light jazz trio "Triad" and was part of the Central Ohio coffeehouse scene. I've been singing and playing consistently about 3 weeks per month since 1976.
