My name is Jim-B. I am a guitarist and vocalist. When I am not playing a guitar; I like to shoot video, record music, hike, workout, read, watch movies, travel, and hang with my wife and family. YOU ARE NEVER 'too young' or 'too old' TO LEARN guitar. I love taking the gift of music - give it on to others – then watch them come alive. MY FOCUS IS TO TEACH YOU AS MUCH ABOUT MUSIC AS I CAN. So, I’m HERE for YOU, When YOU are ready TO LEARN. *** Skills that YOU will Develop *** We will follow a Guitar lesson plan, use practice journals, show you the basics, and you can then learn songs of your choice. You will learn the rhythm Guitar standard chords, advanced chords, power chords, barre chords, string techniques, music theory, music dynamics, picking/strumming, and alternate chord positions for sound/variety using transitions with chord progressions. I can teach popular music styles from 1920's to Current hits in your chosen styles and genre.  ****About Me**** I love music - so if you love music - we’ll get along great. I believe every lesson you take gets you closer to being a guitarist. I know that every time you pick up the guitar, you improve your talent. I have promoted many concerts. I was a music DJ on a radio station and am presently a radio Senior Manager. I taught myself to play guitar. I have gone to school for music. I have been a teacher all my life. I have played guitar and vocals in 3 bands and have played in coffee houses, schools and churches for years. I am college trained in voice, performance, music theory, composition, and have played most instruments. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music & Communications. I love to learn as much as I love to teach. I am a web developer. I am also doing video production. *** Studio Equipment *** I have a tuner, cords, guitar amplifier, on-line computer, and a sitting area if you come with a friend or family. You need to bring your guitar, practice sheets, music journal books, and digital recorder (if you want to record a session).

I was quite nervous about starting my guitar lessons since my knowledge of music is limited at best. Jim patiently listened to my story and knew exactly at which point we needed to start my lessons. The nervousness vanished and I am looking forward to all of my sessions.

Our son has really enjoyed taking lessons with Jim. He is engaging and challenges Him but is not overwhelming him. He looks forward to every lesson.

Jim’s lessons are at my pace, not his. I appreciate his patience and willingness to answer any question I may have.
