Acting with Jil A.

Making dresses out of trash bags and playing pretend growing up to working in Chicago theatre, my love for creating new worlds and characters has never faded. I starting acting in plays throughout school, studied at SA Casting while living in Adelaide Australia, and earned my BA in Theatre from Wittenberg University. Working in theatre has something I have done for many years in many different capacities from teaching for a grant to keep the arts in schools, acting in professional theatre, teaching for after school theatre programs and doing some private coaching. I will push my students and expect them to take their craft seriously, but I want them to feel safe, to be goofy, make mistakes, find something new about themselves they didn't know, and most importantly have fun while they learn and grow. I learn just as much from my students as they learn from me, if not more, and I look forward to creating and growing along side with them!
