Dance with Jhanelle L.

I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. I first started dancing around the age of 5. I performed with one of Jamaica's most revered dance troupe - The Wolmer's Dance Troupe. I left Jamaica at the age of 17 to attend Macalester College in Minnesota. While there, I took modern dance classes and performed at the biannual dance concerts, specializing in modern, African, jazz and hip-hop. I became the president of the Hip-Hop dance club and hosted multiple showcases as well as performing in the city. After college, I moved to NY to start my career in finance. However, I never stopped dancing. I joined a dance company and performed in Brooklyn and various community events. Dancing has and always will be a part of my life. I enjoy performing and I love teaching even more. Now that I live in Dallas, I'm ready to share my passion for dancing.
