Levels Taught:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
As a classically trained vocalist with a Master's in Voice, I can help you to develop a solid, healthy technique in your singing. I have experience teaching beginning to advanced students, so all experience levels are welcome!

I want to be able to help you achieve your personal singing goals in a relaxed, fun, and healthy way. Improving musicianship skills like ear training and sight reading are incorporated into the lesson, as well as practice techniques that will help you to see dramatic improvement in short periods of time.

I studied Voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where I received my master's degree. I sing full-time with the LA Master Chorale, am a session singer for movies and TV, and perform with opera companies throughout California. I have performed with the LA Phil, New York Phil, LA Chamber Orchestra, Cincinnati Opera, Chicago Symphony Chorus, and Music of the Baroque, among others.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

Hi! I'm Jessie, and I'm a freelance singer and teacher in the Los Angeles area. I earned a Masters degree in Voice from the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) at the University of Cincinnati, and my Bachelors degree in Opera Performance from CSU Long Beach.

I have been teaching beginning-advanced voice and beginning-intermediate piano for the past four years now, and I absolutely love helping my students achieve their musical goals! Although I specialize in opera and classical vocal technique, I enjoy and teach a variety of genres of music, and encourage a healthy technique with minimal tension.

Currently I'm a full-time member of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, where I perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. I'm a session singer for movies and TV here in LA, and I have also sung with the Chicago Symphony Chorus, Music of the Baroque, and Cincinnati Opera.

I teach private lessons in the Los Angeles area, and am available to teach both piano and voice, no matter your experience level! My approach is to focus on healthy, easy singing and/or playing. Correct posture, breath, and technique are fundamentals of a healthy instrument. I also have experience with the Alexander Technique, and incorporate its many benefits into my teaching. I am comfortable teaching various styles; whether it's pop, rock, classical, or musical theater, I would love to help you achieve your singing and piano playing goals! Please feel free to contact me with any questions, and I will happily answer them!
