    My students have premiered the works of contemporary composers, performed beautifully in adjudicated events, learn to speak music conversationally and naturally. I studied piano from a young age, continued to study piano performance in college, and performed with the Giocoso Trio in Tucson, AZ. The most effective lessons are tailored to you: your interests, your abilities, and your goals. While I am classically trained, I embrace a versatile teaching style. I've been told that I have a gentle presence, and a soothing approach. My specialization is in establishing strong, healthy piano technique in beginners, and rehabilitation for those students who never received a foundation in technique to begin with. Better technique means better performance, and also opens doors to more exciting repertoire.
