I believe learning music should be fun, otherwise you wouldn't want to do it!
I tailor each student's lesson plan to their personal musical goals. You decide what we work on and when!
*** About Me ***
I am a professional musician in the greater Seattle area. I graduated from Western Washington University in 2009 with a bachelors degree in music performance. I have been an instructor at the Vashon Drum Camp for 6 years and have taught at a local high school for the last 3 years.
Since 2010 I have been a lead member of Sound Wave - the official band of the Seattle Sounders FC; and is also a member of Blue Thunder, the Seahawks drum line.
Having played professionally for a wide variety of groups/projects I bring a well rounded, versatile approach to teaching. Unlike some other instructors I am a gigging musician and know what it takes to perform at the highest levels, from classical to post-rock, and can teach you to have this same all-encompassing approach that will leave you feeling comfortable behind any instrument in any musical situation.
In addition, I have experience teaching autistic students and students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia. I have seen amazing results in the past and feel comfortable sharing the gift of music with anyone, learning disabled or not.

I encourage every student to have their own instrument at home to practice on, however, arrangements can be made for me to bring instruments if the students does not have one by the time of the first lesson.
For guitar, bass, and ukulele I will always bring my own instrument to demonstrate on.
For piano students I prefer if they have an upright or baby grand piano at home but portable keyboards and synthesizers are fine. It all depends on the type of music you want to play!

Jesse is great. He's been coming to our house to teach my wife and I ukulele.
He's super upbeat and enthusiastic which makes the lessons fun. He's also very patient with us.
Jessie teaches my 5 and 7 year olds and is a great teacher. They absolutely love him. He is very patient and has made Piano lessons enjoyable for them.
