*** Specialties *** I was taught piano following the Alfred method and books, but when I started teaching piano, I found children are better with the Bastien books. It takes things slower, give more examples for concepts and allows for more interaction. For young pianists, it lays everything down on the line for them. For the clarinet (and bass clarinet), I was taught, and teach, with the Rubank books. These books are very clear with different techniques, as well as theory, and gives many opportunities for teachers to expand with their own teachings. I also teach/tutor music theory and literature. I have a passion for both of these, and pass this on to my students.
