I am a husband, father, biocellular chemist, musician/recording artist, teacher, and performer in various genre. Piano was my first learned instrument (~30 years playing experience). Teaching music supplements all that is natural, perfect and me. I look forward to helping students learn technique and build confidence for when they may decide to perform or produce new music. My standard teaching session aims directly at the common essentials of music and provides a combination of 1) chord and scale training, 2) an emphasis on contrasting rhythms and dynamics that give rise to genre and most common-day song structure, and 3) teaching students to play new songs (the student can request songs they would like to learn; I have demo materials and recommendations to assist). Using this trifecta approach, I have successfully taught learners with a broad variance of prior knowledge and aspiration to accomplish their goals. Together, my methods ensure that each student receives translatable VALUE from each session until they are happy to return. I also provide instructions for guitar, singing, and introductory music theory. I can provide music samples and references upon request.

I am a passionate musician since I have been learning and performing in varying capacities since early childhood. I first learned to sing and be involved with music from church. Naturally, I struggled with seeing meaning or purpose of formal training from my earliest and limited opportunities. However, after I was able to become involved in numerous genre (piano performer and instructor, singing: a capella, choral groups, lead singer ROCK BANDS, soloist and worshiper at churches, other school and community opportunities), I realized that music is value and can be approached using theory-based methods. Most recently, I have returned to a happiest moment in my career: using 21st century technology to become a recording artist. While I did not expect even myself to become a music professional, I am familiar with the journey of pursuing instructions. I can never forget any lessons that I received in my past and it was time that was needed for me to see that the gift of music is natural and sometimes can not be explained other than IS AN IDENTITY, a GOOD THING, that can be DEVELOPED. I hope to extend to new learners all that I can give by providing a teaching module that has a trifecta approach that ensures that REAL VALUE is gained following each session. Together, we are the future of good music and I believe that each person can do a part that they know they can. Trust me to guide today!
