Welcome, New Students!

I'm a classically trained violin and piano teacher, offering private violin lessons for all ages, beginners to advanced players.

I started violin when I was 5, and graduated the top music school with Music Education and Violin majors.

My way of approach depends on the purpose of learning violin of each student, however, I usually focus on building the basic foundation sufficiently to enjoy to play this complicated but beautiful and amazing instrument later.

Particularly in the case of very beginners, I start with focusing on reading music and learning the posture.

I teach students of all ages beginning to advanced! It's important for me to see what a student's goals are: do they want to learn something new? improve an already practiced skill? Study a specific style? With an individually tailored objective based lesson plan, our lessons should feel more like a musical conversation and less like a class. Let's have a good time!

My 2 daughters aged 5 and 9 love having Jane as their teacher.
She teaches music as part of your life, not just making sound from an instrument- a valuable lesson you can not get from just any teacher.
They are learning about music and how to hear it and feel it.

Jane is a wonderful piano teacher and is really flexible with timing and is serious about what she does. She works very well and interactively. My daughter loves it when she comes home, as she really inspires her to learn and discover her passion for instrument. My daughter loved her first class. She says that Jane is one of her favorites. We are very happy so far.
